Your Information

Privacy notice.

How the Committee to Elect Devon Wellington handles information submitted through this website.

Last updated: July 22, 2026.

Information we collect

Depending on the form you choose to submit, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, street address, city, ZIP code, yard-sign quantity, and the message you send us. We also receive limited security information needed to prevent automated abuse, such as a reCAPTCHA assessment.

How we use it

We use submitted information only for campaign purposes: responding to messages, coordinating requested yard-sign delivery, sending campaign email that you requested, protecting our systems, and complying with applicable law. We do not sell submitted personal information.

Who can access it

Access is limited to authorized campaign staff and service providers that operate the website and its security, storage, and email systems for us. Access is protected with authentication, least-privilege permissions, encryption, and audit logging. We may disclose information when legally required or when necessary to protect the campaign, its users, or the public.

Retention

Legal obligations may require a different period. The campaign will document any exception.

Security and backups

Production submissions are sent to a private server API rather than directly to a browser-accessible database. Sensitive fields are encrypted before storage. The public intake service cannot decrypt historical submissions. Backups are encrypted and access-controlled, and the campaign periodically tests restoration. No security measure can guarantee absolute protection.

Your choices

You may choose not to submit optional fields. Campaign email includes a way to unsubscribe. To ask about, correct, or request deletion of information you submitted, email devon@votedevon.com. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.

Address lookup and map

If you use the district address lookup, the address you enter is sent directly from your browser to OpenStreetMap’s Nominatim geocoding service to obtain map coordinates. VoteDevon does not receive or store the address. Loading the map also requests map tiles from OpenStreetMap, which may receive technical information such as your IP address and browser details. OpenStreetMap’s handling of that information is described in the OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy policy.

reCAPTCHA

This site uses reCAPTCHA Enterprise to reduce abuse. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Changes

We may update this notice as campaign operations or legal requirements change. The date above shows the latest revision.
